About me

By day (and several nights) I am a veterinary surgeon, practicing in Lichfield, where I have lived for the last 19 years. Whatever time that leaves, is dedicated to photography.

My first camera, a Pentax ME Super, was given to me by my parents for my 18th birthday - a relatively late start! But since then I have been snapping away furiously at anything that moves, and most things that don't. In 2005, I honed my self-taught skills with the 'New York Institute of Photography', gaining a certificate in Professional Photography.

Like many photographers, I am a  slave to LIGHT, often found staring at the sky, seeing what the weather is doing, and particularly entranced by the setting sun.

To help with a specialised arm of wildlife photography (People and pet portraiture) I have a purpose-built studio at home - see 'News' section. Should you have any photographic projects or commissions that I can help with, please do not hesitate to contact me, on this site or via Splodgeimages@btinternet.com.'m a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.

I enjoy the challenge of all photographic genres as my portfolio will demonstrate. However, my passion is WILDLIFE - an enormously time-consuming business that does not sit very well with having a full time job. But I manage to find some time to sit in fields with nature, and always construct my holidays around this planet's great beasts. I have been lucky enough to see the Gorillas in Rwanda, Grizzly Bears in Alaska, Orang Utans in Bornea and Great White Sharks in South Africa.I
